Our high-tech coating solutions for metal surfaces are based on nanotechnology, which provides our coatings with additional properties for superior product performance. The coating material consists of a special combination of organic and inorganic hybrid polymers. A combination that ensures high durability for ultimate protection and a long-lasting result.

Costs associated with protection and maintenance are significantly reduced, as our coatings enhance surface properties and provide high abrasion resistance to extend the life of the coated object through a single-coat procedure. Compared to alternative anti-corrosion coatings that require multiple coats (including a primer), our coatings provide a low-cost solution in terms of less material consumption and labour hours due to its low dry-thickness (3-5 microns depending on product type).

Our selection of anti-corrosion coatings also provide sustainable easy-to-clean properties and permanent protection against visible irregularities such as stains, fingerprints and scratches. They show excellent resistance to UV-exposure, temperature and environmental influences, e.g. harsh weather conditions. In addition, anti-graffiti properties are implemented.

Aluminium

Our coatings have very low coating thickness (3-10 microns DFT), as they are based on thin film technology. A special technology that has been developed to avoid pre-treatments that are necessary to conventional coatings in the production processes.

When coating aluminium, conventional coatings use heavy metals such as chromium, titanium or zirconium. Our coatings for light metals use neither to provide a more environmentally friendly production process. Only alkaline cleaning is necessary when preparing the surface for coating. Our aluminium protective coatings also provide sustainable easy-to-clean properties and permanent protection against corrosion and visible irregularities such as stains, fingerprints and scratches.

Utilized hydrophilic coatings, that lack the ability to provide anti-corrosion capabilities and a self-cleaning surface, are commonly used on coils and heat exchangers as a way of maximizing heat transfer. These coating treatments need maintenance to preserve a clean appearance and to prevent the coated equipment and appliances from overheating during operation.

Due to lacking capabilities, the market for coils and heat exchangers have gradually replaced this outdated technology on a global scale. In order to reduce maintenance costs and still ensure consistent heat transfer, market operators are adopting our superior technology to gain additional features that eliminate the need of maintenance and ensure high performance and longevity of their assets.

Application Process

Our coating solutions can be applied through different application methods. They are typically sprayed onto the surface – but using roller techniques or dip spin are also an option. The optimal application method should be chosen in relation to the scale and complexity of the project.

Due to a minimum of pre-treatment, the application process is simple and fast, which makes our coatings ideal for large scale production, in addition to significantly reducing the costs of application and material consumption.

When treating aluminium, after preparing the surface through alkaline cleaning, the coating can be applied by using one of the methods mentioned above. This process is then followed by thermal curing that lasts only a few minutes.

Prior to coating magnesium with our metal finishes, a pre-treatment of the surface with chromium is required. Alternatively, a technology such as a conversion can be used. This pre-treatment process is performed by following the same procedure described above.
